Stars Spun, Prescience Sprung & Omniscient Inquiry of Arcana | Rotazione Astrale e Interrogatorio della Matrice

In-Game Log

EN: Pursuing Kafka through the container mazes of Stargazer Navalia, the Astral Express crew overcomes her Spirit Whisper mind control and engages the Stellaron Hunter in a decisive clash. As Kafka unleashes a hail of gunfire, Master Diviner Fu Xuan dramatically intervenes, deflecting the barrage with her Omniscia and taking the criminal into custody. Guided to the Divination Commission via the “loafing gate” by Qingque, the Nameless help reactivate the Matrix of Prescience’s base terminals. Connected to the quantum matrix, Kafka’s interrogation yields an astonishing truth: the Stellaron Hunters did not plant the Stellaron on the Luofu. In private, Kafka reveals Elio’s grand prophecy regarding the fall of Aeons and the impending cosmic war against Nanook the Destruction. Before she can be fully secured, the severed Ambrosial Arbor erupts into colossal bloom, allowing Kafka and Blade to slip away into the shadows.

Synopsis & Key Lore

1. The Labyrinthine Hunt in Stargazer Navalia

Deploying Diting’s Locality Probe, the Trailblazers track Kafka through the multi-tiered shipping conveyors of Stargazer Navalia. Along the path, they discover deliberate markers left by the fugitive: a Cloud Knight’s sundered spear, a hacked shipwright’s jade seal, and a live grenade marked with a playful lipstick note (“A small something for the lost…”).

Kafka openly taunts the crew from elevated gantries, using her Spirit Whisper hypnosis to turn a patrol of Cloud Knights against the Nameless. After bypassing container barricades, the Trailblazers corner her on the main assembly wharf. Kafka calmly reveals that the Stellaron Hunters are merely “destiny’s slaves,” carrying out Elio’s script to navigate countless timelines toward the singular path that ensures the survival of the universe.

2. Duel with Kafka & Fu Xuan’s Intervention

A fierce battle breaks out between the Trailblazers and Kafka. Armed with twin submachine guns, a vibrating katana, and lightning-laced strings, Kafka pushes the crew to their tactical limits.

As the battle peaks, Kafka leaps backward and fires a concentrated burst into the overcast sky. Just as the bullets arc downward, Master Diviner Fu Xuan materializes from above, enveloped in an iridescent energy field. With a flick of her hand, the Omniscia—a divine third eye granted to her by Nous the Erudition—neutralizes every trajectory. Kafka voluntarily tosses her weapons to the floor, smiling wryly as Fu Xuan places her under official custody of the Divination Commission.

3. Exalting Sanctum & Qingque’s “Loafing Gate”

Because the delve’s meridian pins remain disrupted, Tingyun docks the starskiff at Exalting Sanctum. Fu Xuan performs a quick finger hexagram divination (“Our hexagrammatic position is fluctuating between the marsh and water trigrams…”), confirming that direct starskiff routes to the Divination Commission are blocked. Leaving Kafka heavily escorted, Fu Xuan departs ahead, ordering an attendant to guide the guests.

The guide is Qingque, a diviner who has perfected the art of strategic slacking. Finding the main gates sealed by Stellaron contamination, Qingque leads the crew to a concealed side entrance known among staff as the “loafing gate”. Welt Yang uses his technological knowledge to solve the jade abacus circuitry puzzle, granting the party entry into the Commission.

4. Restarting the Matrix of Prescience

Inside the sprawling complex, Stellaron beasts have disabled the three core calculating platforms: the Spatial Terminal, the Temporal Terminal, and the Karma Terminal.

Fu Xuan explains the nature of the Matrix of Prescience: a planetary-scale jade abacus calculation engine originally gifted to the Xianzhou by Nous. Rather than relying on mundane torture or psychological interrogation, the Matrix calculates the absolute physical and informational truth of a target’s history by reading their quantum causality. Aided by Welt, March, and the Trailblazer, the three terminals are aligned and reignited.

5. The Quantum Interrogation & The Truth of the Stellaron

Kafka is escorted into the heart of the matrix core. As Fu Xuan commands the arrays to rise (“Rise!”), columns of computational light engulf Kafka, stripping away deception and projecting her true memories directly into the Omniscia.

When the light fades, Fu Xuan stumbles back in utter bewilderment:

  • The Stellaron Hunters did NOT plant the Stellaron on the Luofu.
  • In fact, their entire operation was designed to draw the Astral Express to the Xianzhou to resolve the disaster. Faced with this outcome, Fu Xuan rushes to report to General Jing Yuan, leaving the Trailblazer to question Kafka directly.

6. Kafka’s Revelations: The Fall of Aeons & The Prophecy of Nanook

Left alone with the Trailblazer, Kafka delivers one of the most foundational lore revelations in the cosmos:

  1. Even Aeons can die:
    • Method 1 (Path Assimilation): When Paths with overlapping concepts collide, the broader Path absorbs the narrower one—as Xipe the Harmony assimilated Ena the Order.
    • Method 2 (Divine Warfare): In direct war between Aeons, the stronger annihilates the weaker—as Tayzzyronth the Propagation was slain by a coalition of Aeons during the Swarm Disaster.
    • Method 3: Deliberately cut short by Kafka before completion.
  2. The Curse of the Xianzhou:
    • The ancient ancestors of the Xianzhou were Elixir Seekers who sought out Yaoshi the Abundance to obtain immortality. Yaoshi granted them the Ambrosial Arbor, but the miracle proved to be an endless nightmare of overpopulation and Mara corrosion.
    • Lan the Hunt ascended and severed the Arbor with a divine arrow. Since that day, the Xianzhou Alliance has pursued Yaoshi across the stars to eradicate Abundance abominations.
  3. Elio’s True Objective:
    • Elio foresaw that the universe will inevitably face its ultimate existential catastrophe: the apocalypse wrought by Nanook the Destruction.
    • In that final war, the Astral Express cannot triumph alone. Elio directed the Stellaron Hunters to orchestrate this crisis so that the Xianzhou Alliance would owe an unbreakable debt of gratitude to the Nameless, forging a crucial alliance for the end of days.

7. Awakening of the Ambrosial Arbor & The Escape

Before Kafka can answer further questions, the ground violently violently shudders. Across the delve, titanic wooden roots tear through metal and stone, rising miles into the heavens: the severed Ambrosial Arbor has resurrected!

Exploiting the cataclysm, Kafka effortlessly breaks her holographic bonds. Blade leaps from an overhead girder to cover her flank. With a parting grin (“Let’s go, Bladie. Two more places to visit”), the two Stellaron Hunters vanish into the churning fog.

Sinossi & Analisi del Lore

March 7th: Ugh, she’s clearly taunting us! Making us run around like jerks. I bet she’s loving this! I can almost hear her whispering: “Come and get me…”
IT: Uff, ci sta chiaramente prendendo in giro! Ci fa correre a vuoto come allocchi.

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice 1]: That would be suitably Kafkaesque… | Sarebbe tipicamente kafkiano…
🔹 [Trailblazer Choice 2]: She sure is a Stellaron Hunter… | È proprio una Stellaron Hunter…
March 7th: Ugh, why don’t you go and marry her, huh?
IT: Uff, perché non te la sposi allora, eh?

Tingyun: Don’t forget, she’s on the IPC’s most-wanted list — a fugitive that nobody can seem to pin down… and now we’ve become her prey while she stalks us in the shadows.

Sequence 2: The Spirit Whisper Ambush | L’Imboscata dello Spirit Whisper

(Following Diting’s trail onto an elevated walkway, Kafka appears above them, smiling down.)

Kafka: When the trace of the hunted disappears, the hunter better think twice… It might mean the tables have turned.

March 7th: Kafka!
IT: Kafka!

Tingyun: These Cloud Knights aren’t Mara-Struck… What did you do to them?
IT: Questi Cloud Knights non sono affetti dal Mara… Cosa hai fatto loro?

Kafka: Just a little persuasion to get them to listen to me. But you know all about that already, don’t you (Trailblazer)? What a hassle, this place is too far for the diviner. See you up ahead.

(Kafka unleashes the controlled Cloud Knights and vaults over the railing. After defeating the guards, the crew solves the cargo conveyor puzzle to pursue her.)

Sequence 3: Cornering Kafka & Fu Xuan’s Drop | La Resa di Kafka e l’Arrivo di Fu Xuan

(The Trailblazers corner Kafka at the edge of the assembly pier.)

Kafka: Welcome, Astral Expressers. Looks like you caught me.
IT: Benvenuti, passeggeri dell’Astral Express. A quanto pare mi avete presa.

Welt: Admit it, Kafka. You planned for us to come here.
IT: Ammettilo, Kafka. Hai pianificato ogni cosa affinché venissimo qui.

Kafka: I didn’t plan anything. It was the future. We interfere on countless future possibilities and make the best future a reality. You speak too highly of us, Welt. The Stellaron Hunters are merely destiny’s slaves.
IT: Non ho pianificato nulla.

March 7th: Best future? Best for who? As if you’d consider anyone but yourself.
IT: Il futuro migliore?

Kafka: If I said “best for the universe,” would you believe me? Hehe… Best for me, naturally. We don’t have much time. If I were you, I’d make a move before it’s too late.
IT: Se dicessi “il migliore per l’universo”, mi crederesti? Ih-ih…

(Fierce battle against Stellaron Hunter: Kafka. As the duel reaches its zenith, Kafka leaps into the air and fires a continuous spray of bullets skyward.)

Kafka: Finally.
IT: Finalmente.

(A radiant silhouette descends from the heavens: Master Diviner Fu Xuan lands gracefully, her Omniscia emitting a shimmering hexagonal barrier that deflects every bullet.)

Fu Xuan: Rudimentary. Your every move… has been foreseen… by the Omniscia. Fu Xuan, Divination Commission. I’ll be taking the criminal from here.
IT: Elementare. Ogni tua mossa… è stata prevista… dall’Omniscia. Fu Xuan, Divination Commission. Prendo io in custodia la criminale.

(Kafka tosses her guns to the ground and smiles calmly.)

Sequence 4: The Loafing Gate & The Matrix Terminals | La Porta di Servizio e i Terminali

(Reaching Exalting Sanctum, Fu Xuan divines that the main skyway to the Divination Commission is severed. Qingque meets the party outside the plaza and guides them to the side door.)

Qingque: You’re pretty sharp. Divination Commission staff call this the “loafing gate.” When there’s nothing to do, we often sneak out from here and spend a few hours lazing around outside.
IT: Sei sveglia.

(Welt repairs the jade abacus circuitry, unlocking the door. Entering the core chamber, Fu Xuan instructs the crew to reactivate the three Matrix platforms: Spatial, Temporal, and Karma.)

Fu Xuan: The Matrix of Prescience is the Divination Commission’s ultimate weapon. It was originally used to calculate navigation routes across the cosmos. Once activated, it analyzes all the information contained in the target — Kafka in this case — and unearths the absolute truth.

Sequence 5: The Quantum Interrogation | L’Interrogatorio Quantistico

(Kafka stands bound in the center of the illuminated matrix core. Fu Xuan raises her staff.)

Kafka: Is this really necessary? I said I’d cooperate with you.
IT: È davvero necessario? Ho detto che avrei cooperato.

Fu Xuan: I have no interest in the words of wanted criminals — especially those skilled in the art of manipulation… So say what you will — I’m here to witness the divination of the Matrix of Prescience.

Kafka: Then please, Master Diviner, witness my destiny.
IT: E allora, Master Diviner, assistete al mio destino.

Fu Xuan: Rise!
IT: Sorgi!

(Vast pillars of jade mathematical algorithms surround Kafka. Fu Xuan’s third eye opens wide, flooding her mind with Kafka’s causality. Suddenly, Fu Xuan gasps, her eyes wide with shock.)

Fu Xuan: That’s… why you’re here? …All for that!? I can’t believe it… But, the Matrix of Prescience cannot be wrong.

Trailblazer: What did you see?
IT: Cosa hai visto?

Fu Xuan: Kafka has nothing to do with the Stellaron, but you… It’s you… Ha! Absurd! I’d never have thought it… Ask her yourself — take as long as you wish. I must report this to the general immediately!

Sequence 6: Kafka’s Confession: The Fall of Aeons | La Confessione di Kafka: La Caduta degli Aeon

(The Trailblazer steps forward to confront Kafka alone on the central dais.)

Kafka: You know, (Trailblazer), even Aeons can be killed.
IT: Sai, (Trailblazer), persino gli Aeon possono morire.

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice 1]: So your plan is… to kill an Aeon?
Kafka: Ha, are you kidding? That’s not what we want. I just want to tell stories from the past: stories about Aeons that have fallen.
IT: Ah, stai scherzando?

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice 2]: Killing an Aeon? Humans don’t have that power. | Uccidere un Aeon? Gli umani non hanno questo potere.
Kafka: That’s right, it would be impossible for a human… but then I didn’t bring humans into the picture, did I?

Kafka: Long the Permanence, Idrila the Beauty, Ena the Order, Tayzzyronth the Propagation… Akivili the Trailblaze. These names were once known all over the universe. Now, THEY’ve all but disappeared, leaving behind only masterless Paths.
IT: Long la Permanenza, Idrila la Bellezza, Ena l’Ordine, Tayzzyronth la Propagazione… Akivili il Trailblaze. Questi nomi erano celebri in ogni angolo dell’universo.

Kafka: Currently, there are three ways an Aeon can perish known to humanity:
One: Paths with overlapping concepts will eventually collide, and the broader Path will engulf the narrower one. That’s how Ena the Order was assimilated by Xipe the Harmony.
Two: In a war between Aeons, the stronger side will annihilate the weaker one — that’s how Tayzzyronth the Propagation fell during the Swarm Disaster.

Kafka: Under the guidance of The Hunt, the Xianzhou Alliance travels the universe exterminating abominations cultivated by the Abundance… The predecessors of the Alliance were the Elixir Seekers. They searched for Yaoshi and longed for immortality. When they received the Ambrosial Arbor, immortality turned out to be an eternal curse. That’s when The Hunt appeared — firing an arrow and felling the Ambrosial Arbor.

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]: Why are you telling me this? What about the third way? | Perché mi stai dicendo questo? E il terzo metodo?
Kafka: Elio saw the future. The universe will face the catastrophe of Nanook the Destruction. To survive that calamity, the Astral Express needs allies. We brought you here so that the Xianzhou Alliance would owe the Nameless a debt of gratitude…

Kafka: …Hold on, any minute now. Aha, it’s begun!
IT: …Un istante, questione di secondi. Ecco, è cominciato!

(The ground violently shudders. Vast golden branches shatter the floor: the Ambrosial Arbor resurrects. Kafka snaps her restraints and leaps to an elevated archway alongside Blade.)

Kafka: Let’s go, Bladie. Two more places to visit.
IT: Andiamo, Bladie. Ci restano altri due posti da visitare.

(Kafka and Blade leap into the swirling clouds and disappear.)
