In-Game Log

The trailblazing expedition on Jarilo-VI has reached a satisfying conclusion. A journey ends just as another is about to begin. March 7th gathers memories in photo form with Pela, Hook, Serval, and Clara, before spending one last peaceful night at the Goethe Grand Hotel. Amidst the ruins of Rivet Town, Sampo Koski delivers a secretive broadcast to the Tavern of the Masked Fools, breaking the fourth wall to address the audience. Leaving the icy world behind, the Nameless board the Astral Express to debrief with Himeko, Welt Yang, and Pom-Pom, preparing for their next destination among the stars.

Synopsis & Key Lore

1. Capturing Memories Across Belobog

With Bronya’s succession ceremony concluded and the Overworld and Underworld reunited, March 7th insists on taking souvenir photos before leaving Jarilo-VI:

  • Everwinter Monument: The crew encounters Pela and Hook admiring the towering structure. Pela clarifies that the monument is sculpted from permanent Geomarrow crystal rather than ice, while Hook hilariously wonders if her father could sell it for big bucks. The Trailblazer takes a crystal-clear photo, which March 7th gifts to Hook as a keepsake.
  • Neverwinter Workshop: At Serval’s workshop, they find Serval teaching Clara mechanical repair. Delighted by Clara’s polite demeanor, Serval strikes rock-and-roll poses alongside Clara for a commemorative group portrait. March 7th presents the picture as a farewell gift from the Astral Express.

2. Serval’s Intuition & A Restful Night at the Goethe Hotel

In a quiet moment, Serval reveals to the Trailblazer that she received Bronya’s official summary regarding Cocolia’s sacrifice. However, having known Cocolia intimately for decades, Serval discerns that Bronya is concealing a deeper, darker truth. Choosing not to dig further to respect Bronya’s burden, Serval accepts the loss of the Stellaron she pursued for years. The crew then checks into the Goethe Grand Hotel for a well-earned rest. In the quiet of their room, the Trailblazer experiences a fleeting psychic memory of Cocolia’s demise and hears a mysterious female voice whisper:

“At the end of your journey, all that perplexes you and troubles you will resolve.”

3. Sampo’s Secret Broadcast & The Fourth Wall

In the deserted ruins of Rivet Town, Sampo Koski sits before a glowing CRT monitor, reporting his escapades to an unseen contact in the Tavern of the Masked Fools. Chuckling that he prefers playing “shadowy comic relief” rather than a protagonist, Sampo declines an offer to visit the vanity fair of Epsilon, quoting his personal philosophy: “True happiness always entails the manifestation of the dignity of mankind.” As the transmission ends, Sampo turns directly toward the screen, breaking the fourth wall to speak to the player:

“To you, my dear audience, I dedicate my performance… I wonder, did I bring a little more joy into your lives? …You don’t have to answer that — but if the answer is no, then you’ll break my heart.”

4. Departure of the Astral Express

The following morning, Himeko alerts the crew that Pom-Pom has completed pre-departure diagnostics. Walking to the outer snow gate, the trio bids a fond farewell to Belobog. Meanwhile, inside Qlipoth Fort, Bronya and Seele engage in a spirited argument over resource allocation for rebuilding the Underworld. Their debate is halted when they look through the glass dome and witness a radiant golden light streaking across the sky—the Astral Express departing into the cosmos.

5. Debrief Aboard the Parlor Car

Reboarding the Astral Express, the crew is greeted by Himeko, Welt, and Pom-Pom:

  • Himeko’s Debrief: Himeko awards the Trailblazer a solid five-star rating. She explains that Aeon Qlipoth the Preservation is notoriously indifferent, but responded to the Trailblazer’s unyielding will to protect Belobog. She confirms that Stellarons are virtually indestructible—even Genius Society member Herta has failed to destroy one—and that the Express crew could only contain its radiant leakage, granting Belobog a vital window to rebuild.
  • Welt Yang’s Perspective: Welt reflects that the fight against the Fragmentum will endure for generations, but the balance has tilted toward humanity because the Nameless ignited an inextinguishable seed of hope. Recalling his own distant homeworld (Earth), Welt notes how ordinary mortals overcome impossible calamities through wisdom and courage.
  • Pom-Pom’s Readiness: Conductor Pom-Pom confirms that the star rail stability has reached optimal parameters, serving March 7th a celebratory glass of juice as the Express prepares for the navigation meeting to plot their next jump through the stars.

1. Photo Souvenirs at the Everwinter Monument

(Walking through the Administrative District toward the monument)

  • March 7th: Bronya said she’s willing to wait 700 years for us… Hmm… Dan Heng, how long can humans live for?
  • Dan Heng: …Forever. But in that scenario, they can’t be considered human anymore.
  • March 7th: Yikes! So serious! I was just curious.
  • March 7th: Here we are, Everwinter Monument! Photo time! Oh, Pela and Hook are here too? Let’s make sure we get them in the background!
  • [Trailblazer] Maybe we could try for a cleaner composition for this one…
  • [Trailblazer] Good idea. Let’s show them the photos once we’re done.

(Approaching Pela and Hook after taking the photo)

  • Hook: Whoaaaa! So much ice! But it’s warm here… aren’t you Overworlders worried it’ll melt?
  • Pela: Not at all. It may look like ice, but it’s actually a monument carved out of Geomarrow crystal.
  • Hook: Ah, Geomarrow! It’s a shame daddy isn’t here — He’d find a buyer for it and sell it for big bucks!
  • Pela: Uh… How do I explain… This particular piece of Geomarrow is definitely not for sale…
  • [Trailblazer] Have a look! I took a photo of everyone.
  • Hook: A “photo?” What’s that? Hook wants to see it!
  • Pela: I must remind you that taking photos of others without gaining their permission violates Belobog public security ordinance number…
  • Pela: …Wait, that’s a nice picture! And… it’s crystal clear.
  • Hook: Wow! Photos are awesome! …Can Hook have it?
  • March 7th: Hee-hee, you like it? It’s yours. A farewell gift from us.
  • March 7th: Okay… Where to next? Oh, we haven’t seen Serval since we got back! Let’s head to the workshop.

2. Group Photo at the Neverwinter Workshop

(Entering the Neverwinter Workshop)

  • Serval: Who’s there? Didn’t your parents tell you to knock before— Ha, it’s you three! Come on in! I was just talking to Clara about you.
  • Clara: How have you been, big [brother/sister]? Miss Serval’s workshop is amazing — there are all kinds of things… I like it here a lot!
  • Serval: “Miss Serval…” Clara is such a well-mannered kid! Meanwhile, the Architects’ children are still calling me “auntie” and making me feel old…
  • [Trailblazer] Let’s take a photo together!
  • [Trailblazer] Still looking to hire assistants for the workshop?
    • March 7th: Hey, that’s not your line! We’re here to take a photo, remember?
  • Serval: Photo? …This feels like one of my fan meet-ups, haha. Anyway, for you guys, I’d do autographs for free.
  • Clara: “Photo…” Oh! I remember. When I was little, Mr. Svarog took a photo for me…
  • Serval: Over here, Clara! Wanna learn some cool poses?

(After taking a commemorative group photo)

  • Serval: Wow, that’s pretty great! I wish the photographers at my shows had your skills!
  • Clara: Huh…? Am I really that short? I thought…
  • March 7th: Don’t worry! If you eat like Dan Heng, you’ll be as tall as him one day! stifled laughter
  • Dan Heng: …I’ll let that slip.
  • March 7th: Here, keep it… a little farewell gift from the Astral Express.
  • Serval: Huh…? You’re leaving so soon? sigh I understand. Well, this photo will always be close to my heart. I’ll make a copy for you too, Clara.
  • Clara: Th—Thanks Miss Serval! Big [brother/sister] [Trailblazer], March, Dan Heng… Thanks for taking care of me. Safe travels. If you have time… please come back and visit me and Mr. Svarog.

(Speaking with Serval privately, optional)

  • Serval: I received Bronya’s message before the inauguration ceremony. She told me everything that happened north of Belobog — about the Stellaron, and Cocolia’s sacrifice… But…
  • [Trailblazer] …But?
  • [Trailblazer] Uhh… Just listen to Bronya.
  • Serval: …Honestly, I feel that girl is hiding something from me. I knew Cocolia well, and she was never one to suddenly change her mind.
  • Serval: sigh Don’t worry, I won’t dig too deep. I know Bronya must have thought long and hard before deciding what to make public.
  • Serval: I just… feel a bit empty now that we’ve lost the Stellaron — I spent a long time pursuing it, after all…
  • Serval: As for Cocolia, the best side of her will live on in people’s memory. That’s not all bad…

3. A Restful Night at the Goethe Grand Hotel

(Exiting the workshop into the Administrative District)

  • March 7th: yawn …That’s enough sightseeing and photo-taking to last me a while… Time to head back to the Goethe Hotel for a good night’s sleep!
  • Dan Heng: …We can sleep when we’re back on the Express.
  • March 7th: Not so fast! Last time we were here, that evil Madam Guardian interrupted us before we’d gotten the most out of our luxury suites… Don’t you think we should make up for it?
  • March 7th: Come onnnn! Himeko and Mr. Yang are grown-ups — I’m sure they’ll cope without us for one night. Besides, don’t you want to chit-chat with the locals now that Belobog is full of life again? I know I do!

(Checking into the Goethe Grand Hotel room) (You’re overwhelmed by a sea of weariness… You lie down in bed) (The Engine of Creation, Cocolia, an ethereal outer space, the gaze of Preservation… your fragmented memory of the battle forms a blurry and surreal montage) (In the midst of this frantic tapestry of events, you see the moment Cocolia perished with the Stellaron. A strange voice speaks to you in a hushed tone…) (All of a sudden, you hear it again… a female voice in your ear…)

  • Female Voice: “At the end of your journey, all that perplexes you and troubles you will resolve.”

4. Cutscene: Sampo’s Fourth-Wall Epilogue (Rivet Town)

(In the derelict ruins of Rivet Town, Sampo leans casually before an antique, flickering TV screen)

  • Sampo: Aw, it was a close thing alright! Good thing it dawned on me: Hey, Sampo doesn’t have to be a protagonist, right? The likes of us are better suited to… shadowy comic relief, huh?
  • Sampo: Turns out the Astral Express crew is more fun than I expected! You liked it? Really? Haha, told you so!
  • Sampo: …No no, I’m in no hurry to leave. What? Oh, Epsilon? Pff. What fun can you get out of a giant vanity fair like that?
  • Sampo: “True happiness always entails the manifestation of the dignity of mankind…” Now that’s a quote I live by.
  • Sampo: Well, bye for now. Send my regards to the guys and girls in the tavern. Oh, and don’t forget to say that Sampo Koski will catch them for the next one. Time to make my curtain call.

(Sampo turns his head, staring straight into the camera toward the player)

  • Sampo: To you, my dear audience, I dedicate my performance… I wonder, did I bring a little more joy into your lives?
  • Sampo: …You don’t have to answer that — but if the answer is no, then you’ll break my heart.

5. Departure & Cutscene: A Light Across the Sky

(Waking up the next morning in the hotel lobby)

[The Astral Express Family]

Himeko: [Trailblazer], March, Dan Heng... How was your rest?
Himeko: Pom-Pom has completed the routine pre-departure inspection, so the Nameless is ready to move on to the next world. Come back to the Express when you've tied up all the loose ends.
Himeko: Oh, right. You must have so many questions about that final battle with the Supreme Guardian of Belobog. Welt and I made some simple analyses that might help shed some light on it for you.

March 7th: Got it! We will start our preparations now.

(Meeting March 7th and Dan Heng in the hotel corridor)

  • March 7th: Morning, [Trailblazer]! How did you sleep? I’m full of energy myself!
  • [Trailblazer] I dreamed about Sampo…
    • March 7th: You poor thing! I’ll go check the lunar calendar — today might be unlucky.
  • [Trailblazer] It’s time we went home!
    • March 7th: sigh But the beds here are so nice!
  • Dan Heng: Did you get Himeko’s message? It’s time to go. The conductor will nag us again if we put the Express behind schedule.
  • March 7th: Yeah, yeah. Well, pack your souvenirs and stuff. Back home we go!

(Approaching the city gates toward the snow plains)

  • March 7th: Here we are at last… sigh It’s sad to say goodbye.
  • Dan Heng: Nothing lasts forever. You’ll stop feeling sad the moment you set foot on the Express.
  • March 7th: Hey, I’m not that heartless y’know…

(Cutscene begins: Inside Qlipoth Fort, Bronya and Seele review documents)

  • Seele: …Priorities? What do you mean? Are you saying rebuilding the Underworld isn’t one of your “priorities”?
  • Bronya: Of course not! I’m just saying we have limited assets, and we need new parameters.
  • Seele: Assets… parameters… You sure love your fancy words. Ugh, forget it. Leave it to me. I’ll go down myself…
  • Bronya: …Come on, Seele! I won’t leave you to—
  • Seele: Look, Bronya! (Outside the panoramic skylight, a brilliant line of starlight cuts across the grey clouds — the Astral Express accelerating into orbit)
  • Seele: There’ll be plenty of difficulties waiting for them, right?
  • Bronya: Yes… their future is filled with even more uncertainty than ours. But we will prevail here… Even if it means arguments like this go on forever…
  • Seele: …Hmph, they won’t go on forever if I win them. (Cutscene ends)

6. Return to the Astral Express: Debrief in the Parlor Car

(The Trailblazers board the Parlor Car)

  • Himeko: Welcome home, you three.
  • March 7th: Himeko, Mr. Yang! Team Trailblaze, back from duty! Mission one: Accomplished!
  • Himeko: chuckles Although Welt and I didn’t get the chance to go with you, I can tell you worked hard to bring things back to normal. Well done, everybody. And especially you, [Trailblazer]. I heard a lot of good things about you.
  • [Trailblazer] How would you rate my performance?
    • Himeko: I’d say it’s a solid five stars.
  • [Trailblazer] Piece of cake.
    • Himeko: Confidence goes a long way.
  • Welt: Get some rest on the Express. Jarilo-VI was not an easy ride. Pom-Pom is of the opinion that we should leave as soon as possible to avoid potential resurgences of the anomalies we experienced earlier. Himeko and I agree.
  • Dan Heng: …Which means we need to decide where our next destination is, soon.
  • Himeko: You can head back to your rooms for some rest, or stay here and make yourselves a cup of coffee, whichever you like.
  • Dan Heng: I’ll head back to my room then. (Leaves for the Archives)

7. Dialogue with Himeko: Preservation & The Nature of Stellarons

(Speaking with Himeko by the sofa)

  • Himeko: Thank you for becoming our companion, [Trailblazer]. I’ll do my best to answer any questions you may have.
  • [Trailblazer] I’d like to talk about the battle with Cocolia.
  • Himeko: Qlipoth the Preservation is known for THEIR… indifference. Unless you become a zealot like those with the IPC, it’s hard to share in the Aeon’s power.
  • Himeko: Determined to preserve the world they love, the Architects held on for hundreds of years. But as the Fragmentum continued to advance, their already wavering faith started to show some cracks.
  • Himeko: And one particular guardian, Cocolia, abandoned the Path of Preservation altogether. In contrast, you stood your ground and proved your faith in the Amber Lord. Qlipoth responded to your wish, infusing you with the power to wield the weapon of a supreme guardian and control the colossus.
  • [Trailblazer] What happened to the Stellaron?
  • Himeko: It’s virtually impossible to destroy a Stellaron. No one, not even Herta, has found a way to break its structure. The best we can do at this stage is to prevent its energy from overflowing.
  • Himeko: When the supreme guardian was defeated, the Stellaron exposed its weakness to us for a brief period, allowing Welt and I to contain its power. It may be suppressed for now, but it’s only a matter of time before it regains power. Still, this brief window should allow the people on this planet to heal and rebuild.
  • [Trailblazer] The source of Cocolia’s power…
  • Himeko: …is a Stellaron, there’s no doubt about that. It’s likely she was corrupted at a very young age. On the flip side, we can’t judge Cocolia too harshly. Imagine if it were you or me who had to sit on the throne and watch the city slowly brought to its knees… Would we not question what we believed in?

8. Dialogue with Welt Yang: Hope vs. Despair

(Speaking with Welt Yang near the navigation console)

  • Welt: So, your first trailblazing expedition has concluded. How do you feel, [Trailblazer]? Be it joy or pain, success or regret, it’s all part of the journey.
  • [Trailblazer] The Fragmentum and the Eternal Freeze… will they disappear?
  • Welt: I’m afraid not. The Stellaron’s influence on Jarilo-VI is more profound than we might think. But the balance of power is tilting ever so slightly towards humanity, the crucial factor being the hope you brought about.
  • Welt: Don’t underestimate hope, because the power it inspires has no limit. Like the Stellaron, it’s a seed that may grow into something much bigger. But the fruit that hope bears will have a much bigger impact than that of the Stellaron.
  • [Trailblazer] I relayed your view of the Stellaron’s effects to Bronya.
  • Welt: Is that so? Well, I think you did the right thing. It’s better to move forward with the burden of knowledge than to tread a perilous road with blind optimism.
  • Welt: I remember a distant world where the people were faced with unimaginable danger every single day. But they saved their planet time after time with wisdom and courage. Ordinary people can make a monumental difference. I hope Jarilo-VI sees that too.

9. Conductor Pom-Pom & Departure Preparations

(Speaking with Pom-Pom in the center of the car)

  • March 7th: Pom-Pom, we’re back!
  • Pom-Pom: …Shhh! Checking star rail stability, Pom-Pom needs to focus! Spatial readout… back to normal! Star rail stability rising… 56%, 57%… Numbers stabilized!
  • Pom-Pom: Welcome back to the Express! You’ve accomplished your Trailblaze Mission, the Express appreciates your help!
  • [Trailblazer] How’s the Express doing?
    • Pom-Pom: Thanks to you, the Space Fissure is healing up, and the star rail has become stable enough for us to dispatch!
  • [Trailblazer] Need to get some juice for March.
    • Pom-Pom: Oh, Pom-Pom almost forgot! There you go, careful not to spill it!
    • March 7th: Thank you, conductor!
  • [Trailblazer] Where’s our next stop?
    • Pom-Pom: The destination will be announced at the navigation meeting! For now, get some rest and stay tuned!
  • Pom-Pom: For your safety, please don’t leave your seat until the Express has reached cruising speed!

  • All’Everwinter Monument: I Trailblazer incontrano Pela e Hook mentre contemplano la scultura monumentale.

1. Foto Ricordo all’Everwinter Monument

(Attraversando l’Administrative District verso l’Everwinter Monument)

  • March 7th: Mamma mia! Sempre così serio! Era solo una curiosità!
  • March 7th: Eccoci all’Everwinter Monument!

  • Hook: Uooooh! Quanto ghiaccio!
  • Pela: Ehm… come spiegartelo…
  • Hook: Wow! Le foto sono troppo forti! …Hook può tenerla?
  • March 7th: Eheh, ti piace? Tutta tua! Un regalino d’addio da parte nostra!
  • March 7th: Bene… e adesso dove andiamo? Ah, non abbiamo ancora salutato Serval! Andiamo al suo laboratorio!

Entrate, entrate! Stavo giusto parlando di voi con Clara!
  • Clara: Come stai, [fratellone/sorellona]?

  • Serval: Come…?
  • Clara: G—Grazie, signorina Serval! [Fratellone/Sorellona] [Trailblazer], March, Dan Heng… grazie per esservi presi cura di me. Buon viaggio!

Cosa? Oh, Epsilon? Pfui!

  • Sampo: …Non siete tenuti a rispondere, intendiamoci!

Himeko: [Trailblazer], March, Dan Heng... Avete riposato bene?

March 7th: Ricevuto! Iniziamo subito i preparativi!

(Incontrando Dan Heng e March 7th nel corridoio)

  • March 7th: Giorno, [Trailblazer]! Dormito bene? Io scoppio letteralmente di energie!
  • [Trailblazer] Ho sognato Sampo…
    • March 7th: Povera creatura!
    • March 7th: sospiro Ma i letti qui erano così comodi!

  • March 7th: Eccoci arrivati… sospiro È sempre triste dover dire addio.

  • Bronya: Ma certo che no! Sto solo dicendo che abbiamo risorse limitate e dobbiamo stabilire nuovi parametri.
  • Seele: Risorse… parametri…

6. Ritorno all’Astral Express: Resoconto nel Parlor Car

(I Trailblazer rientrano nel Parlor Car)

  • Himeko: Bentornati a casa, ragazzi.
  • March 7th: Himeko, signor Yang!
Ottimo lavoro a tutti quanti.

  • [Trailblazer] Il Fragmentum e l’Eternal Freeze… scompariranno mai?

9. Il Capotreno Pom-Pom e i Preparativi di Salto

(Parlando con Pom-Pom al centro della carrozza)

  • March 7th: Pom-Pom, siamo tornati!
  • Pom-Pom: …Ssshh! Pom-Pom deve concentrarsi sui binari stellari! Parametri spaziali… tornati nella norma! Stabilità dei binari in ascesa… 56%, 57%… Numeri stabilizzati! Pronti alla partenza!
  • Pom-Pom: Bentornati a bordo dell’Astral Express!
  • [Trailblazer] Come sta l’Express?
    • March 7th: Grazie infinite, capotreno!
