1. Ascent of Everwinter Hill

Passing through the gates of the Corridor of Fading Echoes, the Astral Express crew and Seele ascend the winding stone stairway of Everwinter Hill. The howling blizzard bites with unnatural intensity as the Trailblaze Path protects the group from freezing. Scattered along the snow-covered ledges lie ancient Antimatter Legion Voidrangers, frozen solid in crystal amber during the cataclysm seven centuries ago.

2. The Temptation of the Stellaron

Reaching the plateau before the summit, the group witnesses Supreme Guardian Cocolia attempting to force the Stellaron’s collective consciousness into Bronya. Cocolia paints a seductive vision of a promised tomorrow without poverty, cold, or suffering, urging her daughter to embrace the new order and rule as the mother of a reborn world.

3. Bronya’s Defiance

Seele and the Nameless rush forward, breaking Cocolia’s psychic hold. When Cocolia gives Bronya an ultimatum to choose between human stubbornness and the Stellaron’s salvation, Bronya delivers her defining stand: she acknowledges the flaws of humanity, but fiercely honors the resilience of the people she witnessed on the frontlines and in the Underworld. Proclaiming that Guardians are chosen to preserve human life rather than act as godlike arbiters, Bronya adamantly rejects the Stellaron.

4. Awakening the Engine of Creation & Orbital Strike

Enraged by Bronya’s defiance, Cocolia channels the Stellaron’s imaginary energy to activate the Engine of Creation—a colossal ancient Architect excavating titan. As the machine attacks alongside waves of Fragmentum creatures, Himeko intercepts from the Astral Express in orbit, firing a devastating orbital cannon strike that severs the Engine’s left arm and levels the playing field.

5. Assault on the Colossus & Cocolia’s Fatal Strike

With coordinated teamwork, Bronya covers the advance, Seele hurls the Trailblazer across collapsing scaffolding, and Dan Heng vaults them with his spear directly onto the head of the colossus. Face-to-face with Cocolia, Mother of Deception, the Trailblazer duels the corrupted Guardian. However, Cocolia unleashes her Soulrend Coldstream, impaling the Trailblazer straight through the chest with an ice lance. The Trailblazer collapses, plunging backward into the frozen abyss as their allies watch in horror.

Raggiunto il piazzale superiore, la squadra trova la Supreme Guardian Cocolia intenta a riversare la voce dello Stellaron nella mente di Bronya. Cocolia dipinge la visione seducente di un domani senza povertà, gelo o sofferenza, implorando la figlia adottiva di abbracciare la nuova era e regnare al suo fianco come madre del nuovo mondo.

3. La Risoluzione di Bronya: Custodi dell’Umanità

Seele e i Trailblazers intervengono tempestivamente rompendo l’influenza psichica. Posta davanti all’ultimatum della madre, Bronya compie la sua scelta definitiva: pur riconoscendo le debolezze umane, esalta la luce e la forza d’animo che ha visto splendere nei soldati al fronte e nella gente del Sottosuolo. Ricordando che le Guardian sono scelte per preservare l’opera dell’umanità e non per farsi divinità o giudici supremi, Bronya rifiuta categoricamente il falso paradiso dello Stellaron.

4. Il Risveglio dell’Engine of Creation e il Bombardamento Orbitale

Furente per il rifiuto, Cocolia attinge al potere dello Stellaron e risveglia l’Engine of Creation, un colossale automa da scavo dell’epoca degli Architects. Mentre il titano attacca insieme a orde del Fragmentum, Himeko interviene in soccorso dall’Astral Express in orbita: un devastante raggio laser cala dalla stratosfera tranciando di netto il braccio sinistro del colosso.

5. La Scalata del Titano e il Colpo Mortale di Cocolia

Grazie a una sincronia perfetta tra Bronya, Seele e Dan Heng, il Trailblazer scala i rottami del colosso e affronta Cocolia, Mother of Deception, sul culmine della fortezza. Tuttavia, la sovrana corrotta scatena la sua tecnica più devastante, trafiggendo il petto del Trailblazer con una colossale lancia di ghiaccio puro.
