Travelers on a Winter Night
Quest Overview
Description
Marching through the biting winds of the Outlying Snow Plains, the Trailblazing trio pushes forward in search of civilization. Along the way, they discover a Calyx born from spatial distortion and consult Welt Yang via message.
Further ahead, Dan Heng uses his spear to extract a shivering man buried in a snowdrift: the self-proclaimed relic merchant and rogue, Sampo Koski. Offering to guide them to Belobog — humanity’s last bastion against the Eternal Freeze — Sampo abruptly abandons the crew when a contingent of Silvermane Guards ambushes them.
Treated as Sampo’s accomplices, the Astral Express crew engages in a fierce clash against Captain Gepard Landau. To clear their names, March 7th presents a photo of Jarilo-VI taken from the stars. Convinced by their celestial origin, Gepard escorts the outsiders into the warm embrace of Belobog, reciting the city’s 700-year history under the divine aegis of Qlipoth the Preservation.

Dialogue & Script Transcription
📜 Complete Mission Script (EN)
Scene 1: Across the Permafrost & The Calyx
(The crew trudges through howling blizzards and desolate drifts on the Outlying Snow Plains.)
Dan Heng: This place still hasn’t been corroded, yet Fragmentum monsters have already made it here. I fear the Stellaron may be exerting a significant influence on this world.
(Beside the snowy trail, an ethereal golden blossom of crystallized cosmic energy pulses faintly.)
Trailblazer: (What a strange object… It seems really out of place in the Snow Plains. Maybe Mr. Yang will know what this is. Let’s send a message to ask him.)
(You take a snapshot of the phenomenon and text Welt Yang:)
Trailblazer: “What is this, Mr. Yang?”
Welt Yang: “It is a Calyx, a strange entity born from the phenomenon of space distortion. There are some reality data in the Calyxes that might come in handy, but please be careful when coming in contact with them. The existence of these Calyxes is still a mystery to us, and the danger within is incalculable. In your coming journey, you might come across other Calyxes like this, so look out for that.”
(Ahead, submerged structures poke out from the deep drifts.)
Dan Heng: These buildings have been buried in the snowfall.
March 7th: Huh!? So these are rooftops? How long would snow have to fall to get this thick?
Dan Heng: …A long, long time.
Scene 2: Spearing Sampo Koski Out of the Snow
(March 7th suddenly halts, pointing toward a mound of snow twitching erratically.)
March 7th: gasp Did you see that? I think something’s moving…
Dan Heng: Mm… It’s just an ordinary snowdrift. Are you sure you’re not seeing things?
March 7th: Of course not, my eyesight’s perfect! Come on, let’s take a closer look!
(They approach the trembling drift.)
March 7th: …Hey, get outta there or you’ll shiver to death. Holding your breath won’t help…
Dan Heng: I got this, March. If someone’s got their head stuck in the sand, or the snow in this case… they just need a helping hand.
(Dan Heng thrusts the blunt end of his Cloud-Piercer spear straight into the snowdrift. A loud yelp echoes across the plains.)
Man Hiding in Snow: Yeowch!!
(A blue-haired young man in flamboyant purple and green attire scrambles out of the snow, rubbing his bruised rear.)
Man Hiding in Snow: My fine fellow, was that really necessary? Is crawling around in the snow a crime these days? I mean, c’mon, surely it doesn’t warrant a spearing?! …But then again how can I blame you? I caught you off guard. It had to happen — you could even say I deserved it, huh? Besides, I’ve made a gallant group of new friends as a result, hehe…
Man Hiding in Snow: …Is Captain Gepard around? H—He’s an old buddy of mine…
March 7th: Who?
Man Hiding in Snow: Wait, you’re not Silvermane Guards? Well, why didn’t you say so! Turns out we’re on the same side after all! Pleasure to meet you, the name’s Sampo Koski!
🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]
- I’m (Trailblazer).
Sampo: Excellent, I’ll remember the name! I never thought I’d run into friends from the same line of work out here in this frozen wasteland. Business is bad these days, but fear not, Sampo Koski isn’t interested in hoarding. There’s more than enough treasure to go around, so let’s get rich together! Hahaha.
🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]
- What business are you talking about?
- Is there a settlement nearby?
Sampo: Settlement? What a literary turn of phrase! Why, there’s only one place in this world where the living still reside — our beloved Belobog! The further away you get, the dicier things become. The City of Preservation, the Towering Citadel, humanity’s last bastion against the Eternal Freeze… The only place humans can eke out an existence is behind those impregnable walls.
🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]
- Why were you hiding in the snow?
Sampo: Me? You guys scared me to death! There I was looking for relics to sell, when all of a sudden you came stomping over. I thought the Silvermane Guards were paying me a visit.
March 7th: No need for free guidance, why don’t you just take us to the city? We don’t really know the way.
Sampo: The city? Already? Showing you the way is easy enough, missy, but it would cost— …B—But it would be my pleasure! “Kindness” is Sampo Koski’s middle name. Follow me, friends, and keep quiet. We don’t want to be spotted by the Guards.
Scene 3: The Ambush & Sampo’s Disappearance
(The crew follows Sampo across the snowy ridge.)
March 7th: So why were you hiding from the Silvermane Guards?
Sampo: Uhh, I was just storing a few relics away from prying eyes, nothing serious. So whereabouts are you guys from, anyway? I don’t mean to pry, I just care about my friends!
Sampo: …Rule number seven: Never leave a footprint. I have my own special technique called “invisible snow-walking.” Helps me throw off pursuers in no… time…
(A squad of armored Silvermane Guards steps out from behind the ruins, raising rifles and shields.)
Dan Heng: …Who are they?
Sampo: Uh, remember the Silvermane Guards I mentioned? That’s them… Help me, old friends! I don’t wanna be caught!
Silvermane Soldier: It’s the suspect and his accomplices! Arrest them!
Sampo: It’s now or never! Over to you, dear friends! (runs away into the blizzard)
March 7th: Hey! Where do you think you’re going—?!
Scene 4: Confronting Captain Gepard Landau
(The Express crew fends off the frontline soldiers. Suddenly, March 7th unleashes her ice arrows, but a colossal crystalline energy shield descends with a thunderous clang, absorbing the attack entirely.)
(A tall, stern officer with golden hair and a high-collared navy uniform steps forward through the snow, brandishing a massive fortress shield and broadsword.)
Gepard: I, Gepard Landau, Captain of the Silvermane Guards, order you to relinquish your futile resistance!
March 7th: Grr, that Sampo cheated us all! Wait till I get my hands on him…!
Silvermane Soldier: Suspect! Relinquish your resistance!
March 7th: Ugh, so I’m a criminal, huh? Forget Sampo, wait until I get my hands on YOU!
(A fierce duel ensues. Gepard unleashes his Frigid Waterfall shield bash, but the resilience of the Trailblazer and Dan Heng forces the captain to halt the skirmish.)
Scene 5: March 7th’s Planetary Photograph
(Gepard lowers his weapon and turns to his men.)
Gepard: …And the prime suspect? The one with the blue hair?
Silvermane Soldier: Apologies, Captain! W—We lost him during the pursuit. We can’t find his footprints…
Gepard: sighs No matter, we have his accomplices. He’ll be close by, plotting his next move.
March 7th: We’re not friends with that scoundrel! Did you see how fast he ditched us?! We rescued him from the snow out of the kindness of our hearts!
Gepard: I’m a captain, not an adjudication panel. As Belobog citizens, you have the right to defend yourselves, but that can only take place under the scrutiny of the Architects. Take them away.
March 7th: But we’re not from Belobog!
🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]
- Take a look at our clothes.
- Does our equipment bear any resemblance to yours?
Silvermane Soldier: Silence! What kind of nonsense are you—
Gepard: As you were. We must not be tempted into careless judgment. Look at their attire… Indeed, it is not in the Belobog style. And their relics: we’ve never excavated anything like them, and I haven’t seen anything similar in our museums.
🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]
- Show him the photos, March.
March 7th: Ah! (Trailblazer), you’re a genius! Great idea! You’ve probably never seen what your planet looks like, right? I took this one. Behold, Jarilo-VI!
(March 7th proudly displays her camera screen, showing the celestial photograph of the snow-mantled globe taken from the Astral Express.)
Silvermane Soldier: …You mean to say that this… white ball… That’s here? That’s our home? How can that be…
Gepard: …It is said that a long time ago, strange visitors from beyond the sky would visit us here… but that after the Eternal Freeze, the blizzards made passage impossible… and Belobog would cease to witness such arrivals.
Silvermane Soldier: But Captain, these people are—
Gepard: This decision is beyond us. If what they say is true, then only the Supreme Guardian may decide their fate. Our job is to present them before her. Outsiders, follow me. Belobog lies beyond this blizzard.
Scene 6: Welcome to Belobog & The 700-Year History
(Gepard guides the party through the swirling snowstorm. The blizzard abruptly subsides as they pass beneath a colossal archway into the grand Administrative District.)
Gepard: Welcome to Belobog — the City of Preservation.
March 7th: …Hey, it feels like it got a bit warmer!
Gepard: …That’s because you’re in Belobog, the last bastion of humanity.
March 7th: Last bastion?
Gepard: Seven hundred years ago, monsters from beyond the sky set the world ablaze. The land was turned to scorched earth, with raging infernos and billowing towers of smoke stretching beyond the horizon. In the midst of the conflict, the Eternal Freeze descended without warning. Suddenly, sweeping winds brought blizzards which buried the invading Legion. Belobog was all that remained.
Gepard: The steadfast Architects built this city. Under the protection of Qlipoth the Preservation, Belobog remains forever warm in the face of unrelenting cold.
March 7th: (whispering) …He’s sure saying some weird stuff.
Dan Heng: (whispering) A marked change in tone. It sounds like he’s quoting directly from a historical textbook.
March 7th: (whispering) Uh-huh, so why is he telling us all this?
Gepard: You wanted to know.
March 7th: …
Panoramica della Missione
Descrizione

Dialoghi & Trascrizione Integrale
📜 Trascrizione Integrale della Sceneggiatura (IT)
Sampo: In città?
Aiutatemi, vecchi compari! Non voglio finire in gattabuia!
Guardia Silvermane: Ecco il sospettato e i suoi complici! In arresto, subito!
Sampo: È la mia occasione! A voi la scena, amici cari! (scompare nella tormenta di neve)
March 7th: Ehi!
Guardia Silvermane: Perdonateci, Capitano!
Gepard: sospira Non importa, abbiamo preso i suoi complici.
Gepard: …Questo perché vi trovate a Belobog, l’ultimo baluardo dell’umanità.
March 7th: L’ultimo baluardo?
March 7th: (bisbigliando) …Dice cose davvero strane.
Gepard: Volevate saperlo.
March 7th: …
