The Voyage Continues
The Voyage Continues
Synopsis & Key Lore
- Simulated Universe & Contemplation: After test-running Herta’s Simulated Universe, the Trailblazer recalls Kafka’s parting admonition: “When you have a chance to make a choice, make one that you know you won’t regret.”
- Farewell Consultations & Deep Cosmic Lore:
- Herta & Asta: Herta confesses her disregard for ownership and administrative burdens, delegating everything to Lead Researcher Asta. If repeatedly asked to stay, Herta and Asta permit the Trailblazer to remain—revealing the famous Alternative Ending where the Trailblazer lives out a peaceful academic life on the station while the Express and Stellaron Hunters vanish into galactic history.
- Dan Heng & March 7th: Dan Heng explains that trailblazing is about navigating the unknown rather than mere wandering. March 7th eagerly advocates boarding together.
- Himeko & Welt: Himeko shares foundational cosmic principles: the fallen Aeon Akivili who walked among mortals; the philosophical nature of Paths and Pathstriders; the Primum Mobile governing Aeons; and Zandar One Kuwabara’s Cosmos Tree theory (alongside Elias Salas’s discoveries). Welt reveals that Stellarons act like cancerous mutations across the expanse (Cancer of All Worlds), catalyzing Fragmentum phenomena.
- Boarding the Astral Express & Conductor Pom-Pom: Choosing the stars, the Trailblazer boards the train. Conductor Pom-Pom outlines train conduct: secrets are common on the Express, but rules must be respected.
- Exploring the Carriages:
- Parlor Car & Phonograph: Vintage music and records cherished by Welt.
- Archives: Dan Heng’s sparse room and hard bed, where he meticulously logs galactic encounters into the Data Bank.
- March 7th’s Room: Adorned with photo walls. March recalls being discovered dormant in a block of Six-Phased Ice, unaware of her true past, choosing the date of her awakening as her name.
- The First Warp Jump: As Pom-Pom initiates countdown sequences, the Astral Express hurtles through imaginary space toward its first destination: the frozen world of Jarilo-VI.
Dialogue & Mission Progression
1. Leave Herta’s Office & Weigh Your Decision
Step Description: These words resurface in your mind once more: “When you have a chance to make a choice, make one that you know you won’t regret.” You haven’t made up your mind yet… Listen to what others think before taking your next step.
(Talk to Herta in her office, optional)
- Herta: Still haven’t made up your mind? Fine. Since I’m interested in you, I’ll answer any questions you have.
- [Trailblazer] You’re the master of the space station?
- Herta: On paper, yes. But I don’t really care about this place. I built it, put some stuff in, left some people here, and let them just manage themselves. Asta’s the lead researcher, so for all intents and purposes, she’s the master.
- [Trailblazer] Can I stay at the space station? (Asked repeatedly)
- Herta: …You really are weird. What’s so good about this place? Even I don’t like staying here… Ugh, fine. If you’re so keen to stay… Go speak to Asta. She’s the lead researcher. She’s in charge.
- [Trailblazer] So I should board the Express?
- Herta: From an objective standpoint, that’s the most rational place for you to be. You’ll be under their protection, you’ll have opportunities to save yourself from the Stellaron, and if it explodes, you won’t harm too many people.
(Talk to Asta in the Master Control Zone, optional)
- Asta: {NICKNAME}, thank goodness you’re all safe. The Express is about to leave. Do you have any questions?
- [Trailblazer] What are the effects of the Fragmentum?
- Asta: All existing Fragmentums are connected. When the Stellaron was extracted, it corroded the station into a quasi-Fragmentum. Monsters enter through it, but it shouldn’t allow anything to exit your body.
- [Trailblazer] Can I stay at the space station?
- Asta: I like you, but you have a Stellaron in your body. It’s a risk for long-term research…
- [Trailblazer] Herta says I can stay. (Only after getting Herta’s permission)
- Asta: Huh? Madam Herta said that? In that case… I have nothing against it either. Mind you, she’s not going to care a lot about what you think.
(Talk to Dan Heng, optional)
- Dan Heng: Oh, it’s you, {NICKNAME}… Do you have something on your mind?
- [Trailblazer] You don’t seem like someone who likes to travel.
- Dan Heng: Being on the Express isn’t “traveling” or “adventuring” — it symbolizes “trailblazing.” Trailblazing implies the unknown: risks and rewards. In my opinion, the unknown signifies something we can control and change. Don’t use hesitation as an excuse.
(Talk to March 7th, optional)
- March 7th: In the blink of an eye, you knocked that big fella into Mr. Yang’s black hole and saved me… I still haven’t thanked you properly yet. Nah, we’re not splitting up here! Join us, {NICKNAME}!
2. Decision with Himeko & The Alternative Ending
(Talk to Himeko at the boarding platform)
- Himeko: So, have you thought things through?
- [Trailblazer Choice A] I want to join the Express.
- Himeko: Then come with me. (Proceeds to canonical story)
- [Trailblazer Choice B] I’ve made up my mind. I’ll stay. (Only available if permission obtained from both Herta and Asta)
- Himeko: Stay? But Herta…
- [Trailblazer] Herta and Asta both gave me the green light.
- Himeko: Is that so… Well, I respect your choice. Take care, {NICKNAME}. We’ll come back now and then to see you. So long.
🌟 Secret Branch: The Alternative Ending (Stay on the Space Station)
After careful deliberation, you decide to decline Himeko’s invitation. With a long whistle, the Astral Express prepares to go ahead on its journey. The friends you just made wave goodbye to you, and your farewell is as sudden and final as your meeting.
After the departure of the Express, the station begins to eagerly rebuild. Meanwhile, Herta and you get busy while researching the Stellaron. However, it doesn’t take long before Herta loses interest in you and the Stellaron, and Asta arranges for you to become a researcher at the space station.
You spend a peaceful life on the space station. The Express visits a few times before disappearing for good. From the occasional visitors on the station, you hear stories about how the final end of the Express and the Stellaron Hunters shakes the universe to its very core. Sometimes you wonder whether their destiny would have changed, had you stepped onto that train.
But those stories are no longer for you.

May this journey lead us starward.
(Optional questions for Himeko before boarding)
- [Trailblazer] Why invite me to join?
- Himeko: Because you’re different. Having a Stellaron inside you is something few can claim. You have to experience enough to know who you really are… Learn to control the Stellaron and then you can control your destiny.
- [Trailblazer] What is the nature of the cosmos?
- Himeko: Zandar, the first member of the Genius Society and Emanator of Erudition, proposed the Cosmos Tree theory: the galaxy is an enormous imaginary tree, with leaves as individual universes. Elias Salas later disproved that the imaginary is unique.
- Himeko: Aeons ascended from intelligent beings into Path-ruling entities bounded by the Primum Mobile. A Path opens when will overlaps with it; Pathstriders draw power from it, and even if an Aeon falls, their Path never closes. That is why we still ride Akivili’s silver rails.
3. Boarding the Astral Express & Meeting Pom-Pom
(Cutscene: The Trailblazer steps aboard the Parlor Car)
- March 7th: Let’s go~
- Himeko: Time to get on.
- ???: Ahem! I’m over here. Hey, you over there looking dumbfounded. Yes, Pom-Pom’s talking to you!
- Pom-Pom: Himeko told Pom-Pom about your situation. Now listen up, Pom-Pom will only say this once: everyone on here has their secrets. Since you chose to board, you can abide by the rules. You’re not the only special one here! I’m Pom-Pom, the conductor. Just come find me if you have any trouble.
4. Exploring the Parlor Car & Deep Cosmic Debrief with Welt
(Talk to Welt Yang in the Parlor Car, optional)
- Welt: Oh, it’s you. How do you feel?
- [Trailblazer] What are the Stellarons?
- Welt: It’s like a sudden storm appearing on a calm ocean. Spreading rapidly like cancer cells, the Interastral Peace Corporation named them the Cancer of All Worlds.
- [Trailblazer] About the Antimatter Legion…
- Welt: An army ruled by Nanook, the Aeon of Destruction. Standing against all life and civilization, executing Destruction without reason.
- [Trailblazer] About Dan Heng and March 7th…
- Welt: Dan Heng escaped the IPC aboard a ship belonging to the Mourning Actors before finding refuge on the Express. March was found floating trapped inside Six-Phased Ice; Himeko and I thawed her out.
(Investigate the Phonograph with Pom-Pom, optional)
- Pom-Pom: Himeko likes using the Phonograph to play melodies from the past. Mr. Yang loves collecting antique jet-black discs.
5. Passenger Cabins: Dan Heng & March 7th’s Quarters
(Enter Dan Heng’s room — The Archives)
- Dan Heng: Can I help you? This space is open to everyone on the Express. While many roads Akivili traveled no longer exist, recording our journeys in the Data Bank remains meaningful. (Examine Dan Heng’s sparse bed)
- (Trailblazer): (Can he really sleep on such a hard bed?)
- Dan Heng: A hard bed is good for your spine. A bed that’s too soft will end up hurting you.
(Visit March 7th’s room)
- (Examine Photo Wall): Memories of past adventures. “Make a choice I won’t regret… reach the future.”
6. Preparation for the Warp Jump
(Return to the Parlor Car)
- Pom-Pom: Attention all passengers! The Express is about to conduct a warp jump. All passengers, please gather at the main hall!
- Pom-Pom: Here, take this — a gift from the conductor to the passenger. Think of it as an investment in your future growth.
(Sit down on the sofa with March 7th)
- (Trailblazer): (The universe… The Astral Express… Aeons… Did I get dragged into a science fiction movie? This Stellaron in my body…)
- March 7th: Are you trying to catch the stars? When I first woke up from the ice, I saw clusters of stars… which turned out to be the ceiling lights.
- March 7th: Who I was, where I came from… everything was erased. “March 7th” was the day they thawed me out. I’m following this train hoping one day I can find my past.
- Pom-Pom: The Express has reached a safe distance from the space station. We’ll be jumping in ten minutes. Hold on tight!
- March 7th: Next stop: Jarilo-VI!
Sinossi & Eventi Chiave
- I Vagoni dell’Express:
- Herta: Non hai ancora deciso? D’accordo.
- [Trailblazer] Quindi dovrei salire sull’Express?
- Asta: {NICKNAME}, per fortuna state tutti bene. L’Express sta per partire. Hai qualche domanda?
- Asta: Davvero?
Unisciti a noi, {NICKNAME}!
2. La Scelta con Himeko & Il Finale Alternativo
(Parla con Himeko sulla piattaforma di imbarco)
- Himeko: Allora, ci hai riflettuto con attenzione?
- [Scelta Trailblazer A] Voglio unirmi all’Astral Express.
- Himeko: Allora vieni con me. (Prosegue con la storia canonica)
- [Scelta Trailblazer B] Ho deciso.
- Himeko: Capisco… Rispetto la tua decisione. Abbi cura di te, {NICKNAME}. Verremo a farti visita di tanto in tanto. Addio.
Honkai: Star Rail
Protagonista: {NICKNAME}
Apparizioni Speciali: Kafka, Silver Wolf, Asta, Arlan
Ringraziamenti Speciali: Herta, L’Antimatter Legion
Supervisore di Sceneggiatura: Elio
Possa questo viaggio condurci verso le stelle.
(Domande opzionali a Himeko prima dell’imbarco)
- [Trailblazer] Perché mi hai invitato a salire?
3. L’Ingresso sull’Express & Il Capotreno Pom-Pom
(Cutscene: Il Trailblazer mette piede nel Parlor Car)
- March 7th: Andiamo~
- Himeko: È ora di salire a bordo.
- ???: Coff coff!
Rivolgiti a me per qualunque necessità.
4. Esplorazione del Parlor Car & Approfondimento Cosmico con Welt
(Parla con Welt Yang nel Parlor Car, opzionale)
- Welt: Sei tu. Come ti senti fisicamente?
6. Conto alla Rovescia per il Salto Ipergalattico
(Ritorno al Parlor Car)
- Pom-Pom: Attenzione a tutti i passeggeri!
Reggetevi forte!
- March 7th: Prossima fermata: Jarilo-VI!
