Dialogue & Script Transcription

📜 Complete Mission Script (EN)

Scene 1: An Invitation from the Geniuses

(The Trailblazer receives a message from Herta on the terminal.)

[Messages: Herta]
Herta: Here’s some good news. Ruan Mei’s at the space station.

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]

  • Ruan Mei?
Herta: Genius Society #81, Ruan Mei.

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]

  • Good news? (Why is this good news?)
Herta: It’s good news to me.

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]

  • Can I meet her?
Herta: Ask her yourself. I called her and Screwllum here to talk about some important matters. Come back when you’re free and introduce yourself to her. That way she knows who’s the person that’s been testing the Simulated Universe. Remember to show Ruan Mei some respect. You don’t usually get many chances to meet her.

(The Trailblazer arrives in the Master Control Zone. Herta and Asta are conversing near the central walkway.)

Herta: I thought member #4, Polka Kakamond, had gotten rid of most of the Society members. I didn’t have a lot of hope for this… Oh? Look who’s here.
Asta: You’re back, Trailblazer? It’s a special time — all departments are preparing to welcome distinguished guests from the Genius Society.
Herta: Of course. This is a summit between three geniuses. I took Ruan Mei to see the portraits of the Society members a few days ago. I wanted to have the researchers make one for her as well, but she declined the offer. Whatever. As long as she’s happy.
Asta: I heard Miss Ruan Mei likes snacks and pastries, so I asked the researchers to prepare traditional desserts from the Blue. All of them seemed to tickle her fancy.
Herta: She borrowed the Phase Flame to do some research as soon as she got here — haven’t seen a trace of her since. Go find her yourself.

Scene 2: The Confection & The Anti-Truth Serum

(The Trailblazer finds Ruan Mei standing serenely near the glass observation railing overlooking the azure planet below.)

Ruan Mei: Come here. Look, the blue planet is directly below us. It is so full of life. This dessert is very delicious. Here, take half.

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]

  • Take a bite.
  • No, I’m good.

(If refusing:)
Ruan Mei: You don’t like it? I worked very hard on it. You should at least have a try. Delicious desserts remind people of how flowers look when they bloom. Ingest this dessert one bite at a time, and the sweetness will linger in your mouth.

(The Trailblazer eats the pastry. A pleasant, subtle floral fragrance spreads across the palate.)

Ruan Mei: So, what do you think? It’s become somewhat of a tradition to bring strawberry pastries when I visit Stephen Lloyd. His attendance seems quite dependent on them.
Ruan Mei: Ten grams of cubed sugar, one dried and salt-preserved plum blossom. Baking and cooking are the same as nurturing a universe: heat must be controlled, planning must be meticulous, and one must not panic… no matter what happens.
Ruan Mei: By the way… Trailblazer, do you remember what my “research” is about?

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]

  • Only that it’s about biology.
  • Something about nurturing lifeforms…

(The Trailblazer opens their mouth to respond, but utterly incomprehensible words spill out instead!)

Trailblazer: No. My research area is short stories about toilets!
Trailblazer: (…?! What’s going on… what am I… talking about?!)
Ruan Mei: I see. What a cute hobby. But remember, the next time something like this happens, it’s crucial to mask your expression until you’ve ascertained the situation. If not… you’ll be full of weaknesses that others can see through.
Ruan Mei: Let’s try again. What else would you like to ask?

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]

  • What did you do to me…
  • What did you feed me…

Trailblazer: The dessert was tasty. I would like more!
Trailblazer: (Wh—Why can’t I say what I want to say!?)
Ruan Mei: You have quite the appetite. Come and have a walk with me. A stroll is the most appropriate post-dessert activity.

Scene 3: The Confession of Genius #81

(Walking alongside Ruan Mei through the quiet corridor.)

Ruan Mei: Can you imagine a completely lifeless world? From there, you can glimpse the stars that lie at the very edge of the horizon. My mother and I navigated calm glaciers looking for signs of life on that world… and encountered many bizarre phenomena.
Ruan Mei: Please, don’t be on edge — I bear no ill will. I haven’t interfered with your linguistic faculties. I merely made a minor adjustment.
Ruan Mei: I find extending trust beyond myself is challenging. A single error in detailed research can generate issues, and I despise matters that escape my control.
Ruan Mei: Therefore, I added Anti-Truth Serum to this dessert. It will not harm you. However, you will be unable to say what you truly think when answering questions related to me. Treat it as a layer of protection. Once the problems have been dealt with, I’ll give you the antidote.
Ruan Mei: Problems… wrought by my own hand. When I first arrived, I borrowed the Phase Flame from Herta — an invention of member #29, Sserkal. A surge of creativity led me to explore the cultivation of life on the space station.
Ruan Mei: In my imagination, these lifeforms would be a new variety born as geniuses. I planned to name them after Lambda, member #8 of the Genius Society… But I don’t know where it went wrong. They possess sentience, but are nowhere near geniuses.
Ruan Mei: Moreover, in a lab leak a few days ago, some of these “little lifeforms” ran away and scattered across the station. I do not wish for Herta or Asta to be involved. Therefore… I’m hoping you can assist in recovering them.

Scene 4: The Pastry Cult & Molten Cheese Tart

(In the Storage Zone, the Trailblazer questions researchers while struggling under the truth-serum’s bizarre speech compulsion.)

(When asked about Ruan Mei’s favorite music:)
Trailblazer: No idea. I just listen to comedy skits! (…So I really can’t say anything about her.)

(When asked about Ruan Mei’s favorite cakes:)
Trailblazer: I don’t know about her, but I loooove fermented herring! (…This serum is ridiculous!)

(Performing the summoning ritual with spray paint on the floor, an adorable, living pastry creature leaps onto the table!)

Ruan Mei’s Creation: (…Woof! Woof! Woof!)
”Creations’ Translator”: I am humbled to meet the honorable Molten Cheese Tart! Let me activate the Synesthesia Beacon!
Molten Cheese Tart: Wakaka — I’m a genius! A genius among geniuses! Madam Ruan Mei has finally recognized my ingenuity! Does she recognize me as a masterpiece?!
”Creations’ Translator”: Molten Cheese Tart is fighting against Gray Bean Paste in terms of flavor. Both yearn desperately for Madam Ruan Mei’s love and recognition!

(The Trailblazer pacifies the little creature and escorts it to a safe habitat within the station’s Ecology hub.)

Scene 5: The Summit of Geniuses

(The Trailblazer accompanies Ruan Mei into the Simulated Universe staging room, where Herta and Screwllum are in deep conversation.)

Herta: No one can refuse the secret of the Aeons, not even Zandar. We’ll definitely get a response.
Ruan Mei: What if the responder is Polka Kakamond?
Herta: That’d be great! Hey, Lord of Silence, are you listening? I’m member #83, Herta, and I want to meet you!
Screwllum: It’s unlikely we’ll hear from Polka Kakamond. She has been off the grid for quite some time. Probability: Member #64, Dr. Primitive, may appear.
Herta: That’s a hard pass. Dr. Primitive’s shady research and his feud with the Galaxy Rangers would turn this into an IPC media circus. What about Yu Qingtu? Are you still in touch with her, Ruan Mei? Is she still alive?
Ruan Mei: …Can we ask the Trailblazer to step outside if we are to discuss this? The process will be long and tedious.

(Ruan Mei escorts the Trailblazer out of the room.)

Ruan Mei: While Herta is tied up in meetings, you might find it more convenient to roam the space station. There are some things that I must tell you now.
Ruan Mei: The retrieval of my lifeforms isn’t complete yet. Some are stored in a sealed zone: the Seclusion Zone. Herta uses it to welcome non-humanoid galactic visitors and members of the Genius Society.
Ruan Mei: And now… my “headache” is stored there. There is a giant incubator in the middle of the zone.
Ruan Mei: Here is my access card. Give me your hand, and I will register your biometric data. Stay vigilant, Trailblazer. Should you encounter a threat beyond your power, alert me immediately. I will come to your aid.

Scene 6: The Seclusion Zone & The Blasphemous Project

(The Trailblazer takes the restricted elevator down into the dark, eerie corridors of the Seclusion Zone.)

(Approaching a service automaton:)
Fried Cold Rice Robot: buzz Welcome, Trailblazer. I am a twin of the Rice-Frying Robot. I am the Leftover Rice-Frying Robot. This is a Class One clearance zone. Storage for Madam Herta’s dangerous Curios and Madam Ruan Mei’s cultivated lifeforms. buzz

(Following the sounds of weeping down the corridor, the Trailblazer discovers abandoned pastry creations humming a melancholic melody:)

“In a circle, Ruan Mei’s creations join hands… Ruan Mei intertwines joy and sorrow… Ruan Mei, why do you not turn back to look at us? Where does your path lead? Is there no place for us where you are going…?”

(Accessing a secure research terminal, a playback of Ruan Mei’s voice log begins:)

Ruan Mei (Audio Log): “I thought of one lifeform that would truly lie beyond my reach… and that is… an Emanator.”
Ruan Mei: “I cannot comprehend what an Emanator is. Scholars view them as executors of the Aeons’ power. So, at what point did they become closer to the Aeons than any other lifeform?”
Ruan Mei: “At first, I tried to create a genius. I failed. But Erudition isn’t the only Path in the universe. If we set logic aside, would there be more primitive and pure Emanators on other Paths? Of course there would be.”
Ruan Mei: “Tayzzyronth. Through the Simulated Universe, I obtained data on the Imperator Insectorum and their descendants. I replicated them, nurtured them, and synthesized an Emanator of Propagation.”
Ruan Mei: “Will Herta and Screwllum like this experiment? Most likely not. Therefore, before they realize what I am doing… I must find a fitting assistant to clean up the aftermath.”

Trailblazer: (…She cloned an Emanator of the Swarm in the basement of the space station?!)

Scene 7: The Scholar with the Plaster Mask

(The Trailblazer heads upstairs toward the central incubator chamber. Standing near a holographic chessboard is a man with a sculpted plaster bust over his head, holding a glowing chalk: Dr. Veritas Ratio of the Intelligentsia Guild.)

Dr. Ratio: Here — a genius move! And how will you counter it? sigh Only an idiot would ask such a question. You look distressed. Something the matter? If that’s the case… you better get thinking.
Trailblazer: Who are you?
Dr. Ratio: Veritas Ratio. Intelligentsia Guild. You may call me Dr. Ratio. I see you possess Ruan Mei’s clearance key. Are you here to witness the folly of the “geniuses”?
Dr. Ratio: The creature in the incubator has matured. Time is ticking. Descend via the central shaft — what you seek is waiting below.

Scene 8: Confronting the Swarm King: Skaracabaz

(The Trailblazer descends the lift into the colossal bio-incubation pit. The glass vat shatters with a deafening roar! Emerging from the amniotic fluid is a colossal, monstrous insect entity crowned with gleaming mandibles and radiant quantum wings: the Starcrusher Swarm King: Skaracabaz (Synthetic)!)

(The beast roars, summoning hordes of Swarm drones and unleashing reality-distorting Propagation blasts across the arena.)

(The Trailblazer fights with all their might, wielding the fiery Lance of Preservation and the Bat of Trailblaze. As the battle reaches fever pitch, the 56th second elapses!)

(Suddenly, Skaracabaz’s carapace fractures. Lacking the sustained divine grace of the Aeon Tayzzyronth, its cellular structure rapidly destabilizes. Screeching in agony, the synthetic Emanator disintegrates into a shower of harmless glowing particles!)

Scene 9: Farewell on the Railway Platform

(The Trailblazer returns to the railway platform, where Ruan Mei stands alone gazing out into the dark space.)

Ruan Mei: The meeting of geniuses is over. You look… upset, correct? I regret my actions. There’s no defending what I’ve done. Time and again, my experiments have fallen short, yielding predictable results.
Ruan Mei: I made a clone, but it… doesn’t hold a candle to a true Emanator.

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]

  • It died on its own.

Ruan Mei: Exactly as predicted: 56 seconds, on the dot. Restrained by time and space, its life code could only be considered an incomplete attempt. It inevitably faced its demise as it journeyed towards the end.
Ruan Mei: However, even the briefest life should have meaning. It was “a minuscule step” — just as I had predicted.

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]

  • You didn’t have to lie to me.
  • It almost ate me.

Ruan Mei: I did say that if the danger proved too great, I would personally step in.
Ruan Mei: I must admit… these little ones born in the process sometimes move me. I see a human-like response in them: emotions. Love rooted in the depths of their heart, eternal and unchanging.
Ruan Mei: They yearn for my love, but I do not understand what “love” is, and cannot respond to their feelings. Leaving them at the space station is the best choice. Do I seem irresponsible? I am often at a loss as to how to face my own creations.
Ruan Mei: The effects of the Anti-Truth Serum will soon wear off. In fact… it will erase the memory of the time we spent together.

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]

  • Memory… erase?!

Ruan Mei: If I do not want a secret revealed, the most foolproof way is to destroy it. It won’t take effect immediately. It is a slow, intangible process — like the sweet fragrance of lotus leaves, plum blossom, sticky rice, and frosting sugar.
Ruan Mei: Perhaps you will remember someone performed selfish experiments on the station, but you will no longer remember their face or identity. That way, the connection between lifeforms will be erased. Friendships, secrets, grudges, lies… all will disappear. It will make our lives more relaxing.

🔹 [Trailblazer Choice]

  • If that is your wish, I will forget you.
  • No, I won’t forget you.

(If choosing “No, I won’t forget you”:)
Ruan Mei: I believe you.
Ruan Mei: Screwllum will stay on the space station for a while longer. As for me, I am leaving soon, and won’t bother with goodbyes.
Ruan Mei: If fate allows and you’re interested, upon our next meeting, we could journey to No Man’s Land and traverse its tranquil glaciers… though I suppose it wouldn’t be No Man’s Land anymore. What a conundrum.

(Ruan Mei departs into the starlight, leaving behind a warm, bittersweet lingering scent of plum blossoms.)

Scena 1: Un Invito dai Geni

[Messaggi: Herta]
Herta: Ti do una bella notizia. Ruan Mei è sulla stazione spaziale.

🔹 [Scelta del Trailblazer]

  • Ruan Mei?
Herta: Genius Society n. 81, Ruan Mei.

🔹 [Scelta del Trailblazer]

  • Una bella notizia? (Perché sarebbe una bella notizia?)
Herta: È una bella notizia per me.

🔹 [Scelta del Trailblazer]

  • Posso incontrarla?

  • No, sto bene così.

(Se si rifiuta:)
Ruan Mei: Non ti attira? Ci ho lavorato con grande dedizione. Dovresti almeno provarlo.

Ruan Mei: A proposito…

Trailblazer: (…?! Ma cosa… cosa sto dicendo?!)
Ruan Mei: Capisco.

Ruan Mei: Problemi… generati dalle mie stesse mani.

Trailblazer: Non so lei, ma io aaaaaadoro l’aringa fermentata!

E Yu Qingtu?

Verrò in tuo soccorso.

Ruan Mei: “All’inizio ho provato a creare un genio. Ho fallito.

Scena 8: Il Re dello Sciame: Skaracabaz

Non avverrà all’istante.

  • No, io non ti dimenticherò mai.

Quanto a me, ripartirò a breve, senza indugiare in saluti formali.
